Together, We Can Make it Better

Sometimes, there’s a lot on my mind, but it stays bottled up inside. I want to open up and talk about what’s in my heart with all of you. Think about when we ride the local train or walk down the street – we see things happening around us. Sometimes people get angry or say mean things to each other. Some people don’t have clean clothes to wear, and it might make us wonder why. Have you ever thought about that? I do.

I see this happening in many places, especially where people don’t have much. They live in really small houses, just 100 to 150 square feet big. Can you imagine that? These houses don’t have separate bedrooms, kitchens, or bathrooms like we do. They have one room that’s everything – where they live, cook, and even use the toilet. It’s tough for them.

These folks have a lot to deal with every day. Things like fights at home, parents drinking too much, and sometimes even hurtful things happening to them. They don’t have some things we take for granted, like clean water, a proper place to go to the toilet, or a quiet street. They start their day with struggles, and it’s not easy.

Imagine being a kid in such a place. They see and hear things that are really hard to understand. They might even see things on TV or the internet that are confusing. But you know what? Even with all this, they keep going. They don’t give up. They keep fighting and standing up for themselves.

I’m trying my best to stand with them, to be there like a friend. When I see them on the train or in the metro, I feel like we’re all in this together.

Next time, if you see someone from a place like that, remember – their life might not be as easy as ours. Maybe they didn’t get the same chances we did. But they’re strong and they’re trying.

Smile Foundation with its Mission Education (ME) programme integrates true value into education, nurturing STEM talents, and offering adolescent underserved children, especially girls the knowledge they deserve. It fills the gaps that linger at home, keeping the flames of learning alive. From teaching little ones the art of handwashing to raising awareness about adolescent reproductive health, Smile Foundation teaches them about important things like being aware, getting a good education, and staying clean and healthy.

So, as we move ahead, let’s try to understand more about each other. Let’s be kind and help out if we can. Just remember, we’re all part of this big world, and together we can make it better.
