Vallemkunta village is located approximately 70 kilometers southwest from karimnagar it is situated on the banks of the river Godavari. Vallemkunta village was selected to conduct the health camp as there were no basic health facilities in the 15 kms radius. The total population of the village was 2,000 and almost 95 % population is tribal with 10% literacy rate. Also the camp was organized in this village as it is centrally located near 10 villages where there are no basic health facilities.

The objective of conducting the health camp was to create awareness of general health among the people, provide general health care services and counseling them on basic healthcare and hygiene. The camp was organized at Government School building of Vallemkunta village. The camp started in the morning with an inaugural speech and a cultural song. The main objective was to make people aware of the health issues through cultural programme so that everyone could easily understand the concept. While registrations were being done, audio visuals were shown and plays based on health & hygiene, Dengue, Typhoid, and Diarrhea etc. were being performed for awareness of the people.

Majority of the people who attended the camp were suffering because of polluted water and lack of drainage facility. People were diagnosed with various common but seriously neglected problems such as diarrhea, cholera, acute flu and cataract in the eyes. There were also a few cases, where problems related to urethral discharge, the kidneys and cancer were detected; these cases were further referred to the referral hospital, where they will be properly taken care of. There were around 25 cataract patients, who were sent for operation in the Chalmada Hospital. All the children were provided with medicines and vitamin tonics and those suffering from cholera were given ORS.

The health camp was a huge success with overwhelming response from the local people.
