There was a large gathering including the Alumni and their parents, volunteers, students from current batches and NGO partners. The STeP students had beautifully decorated the venue with Rangoli, ribbons and balloons all over. The programme started with a welcome speech and a brief introduction about Smile Foundation by STeP students Vijay Basak and Pradnya Pawar, who anchored the entire show very nicely. Representatives from our corporate partners like Tata-Trent, Aditya Birla (Minacs), Tech Mahindra Foundation and Apollo Pharmacy were felicitated along with the guests from our NGO partners with whom our STeP programme is being implemented like Prayog Foundation, Jan Sikshan Sansthan (JSS) and SHED.

“Tech Mahindra is committed to support & work together with Smile Foundation. And we will continue to extend our support in future as well”, Mr. Vijay Wavare, Tech Mahindra.

The STeP students got an opportunity through Alumni Meet to exhibit their hidden talents. The audience enthralled the dance, song and mimicry performances by students. The guests presented the mementos to 107 Alumni who were gathered.

“I am representing West Side and the whole fraternity here. I foresee different possibilities through which Smile Foundation and Tata Trent could explore partnership in future. The students’ enthusiasm has motivated me to take a few of guest lectures also” Mr. Anirban Roy, Tata – Trent.

Actress Roshni Chopra addressed the audience on the occasion saying “It’s a privilege to be a part of this program. It is wonderful to see that the students are getting such opportunities through Smile Foundation to be independent and make a respectful living”.
