Smile Foundation has collaborated with Save the Children India and its counterpart from the Netherrland. Save the Children is the world’s leading independent organization for children that works to inspire breakthroughs in the way the world treats children to achieve immediate and lasting change in their lives.
The organization is known for its distinct position in the area of child rights. Save the Children and Smile Foundation together have launched Mobile Medical Unit (MMU) for Child Survival in the slums of Delhi.
The MMU is making health care facilities for underprivileged children accessible and available through mobile equipped van/hospital. The “MMU” with an objective of providing comprehensive mobile health care services to under-privileged children in the urban slums is an extra ordinary step to solve the child centric health problems for underprivileged. The project covers a total population of 1, 00,000 with special focus on pregnant and lactating women and children under 5 to ensure child survival.
