This Mission Education Project provides education to children living in difficult circumstances in Budhwal in Ranagreddy District of Andhra Pradesh. Through its bridge course, the project benefits the children, who are mostly dropouts and among those who have never been to school before. Majority of the parents of the beneficiaries are migrants who work as daily wagers and rag pickers.
The project focuses on educating and thereby mainstreaming the children into formal schools. It aims to create opportunities for children for the age group of 6-14 years for skill learning with basic education for a better livelihood.
At the centre, special training is provided to the children through participatory mode, besides many recreational activities that are focused on ensuring enhancement of morale and motivation towards education.
Smile Foundation has partnered with Integrated Rural Development Organisation for this Mission Education project.
