The Swabhiman programme plays a pivotal role in empowering women by also facilitating the development of group model enterprises. Through these enterprises, women are encouraged to become self-reliant and financially independent. By providing training, resources, and support, Swabhiman empowers women to establish their own businesses, fostering economic growth and independence.
In the fiscal year 2022-2023, the project reached approximately 24,922 community members, including women and adolescent girls, through direct and indirect interventions. These interventions encompassed reproductive health education, entrepreneurship development, and other related initiatives. Additionally, around 20 business enterprises have been successfully established, contributing to the economic empowerment of women entrepreneurs.
The collaboration between Swabhiman and Avery Dennison demonstrates the power of partnerships in driving positive change and women empowerment. By combining efforts, expertise, and resources, both organizations are making a tangible difference in the lives of women and adolescent girls in Gurugram. The project’s holistic approach, integrating reproductive health education and entrepreneurship development, ensures a comprehensive and sustainable impact on the community.
