ANZ came on board in year 2012 to support Smile on Wheels Project in Bengaluru. Underprivileged and weaker sections of society suffer from adverse health conditions owing to lack of accessibility, availability and affordability of basic healthcare services in urban slums & remote rural areas. Smile Foundation addressed the issues by bringing quality healthcare services at doorsteps through mobile medical unit; promoting healthcare awareness and healthcare seeking behavior among the underprivileged. ANZ will continue to support this project in 2017-18 and serve 23 identified slums in west Bengaluru through Mobile Medical Unit (MMU). ANZ launched another SOW project in Bengaluru this year and is actively focusing on the health initiative as one of their social responsibility objectives to serve the society.
