In November 2010 Smile Foundation has entered a partnership with Times of Money, India’s leading digital payment service provider. Times of Money come from the prestigious Times Group, India’s largest media and entertainment conglomerate. This partnership has been signed for improving the health service delivery system through Smile on Wheels (SoW) project in the rural areas skirting Delhi. This agreement will be implemented under Times of Money’s “Grow India” initiative.
It’s important to note that the Times of Money is a “Times Group” company which is also known as Bennett and Coleman Group. The flagship brand called Remit2India has a vast NRI base as its customers. The project undertaken under “Grow India” initiative will be primarily based on bringing about development in the underdeveloped villages of India. It will serve as a platform for the customers to help make a difference, by selecting the NGO’s they want to partner with and the projects they want to fund and also the most critical part is that they report to their customers where and how is funds are being utilized. The Return on Charity, where they portray the difference being brought about is their differentiator.
