Summary of Role
Smile Foundation is seeking an accomplished and enthusiastic professional with proven experience in leadership roles to spearhead our esteemed Child for Child Programme on a national scale. The Child for Child Programme is a prestigious national initiative dedicated to nurturing the comprehensive growth of underprivileged children. The primary focus of this initiative is to instill value-based education within school children, fostering their evolution into impactful change agents who contribute positively to society.
Key Responsibilities
As the leader of the Child for Child Programme, your responsibilities will encompass:
- Take charge of orchestrating all school partnership activities, strategically expanding the range of voluntary contributions to ensure the sustainable advancement of the organization’s projects and programs.
- Cultivate, train, and lead teams across multiple regions throughout India, demonstrating adept leadership skills that inspire each team member to achieve excellence.
- Monitor and evaluate team performance in alignment with departmental business plans, actively seeking avenues for enhancement.
- Identify and cultivate new leads, establishing partnerships with educational institutions, predominantly schools, while also upholding and nurturing existing partnerships.
- Develop comprehensive annual business plans and execute effective school partnership strategies that contribute to the growth and advancement of the initiative.
- Foster an environment of innovation, constantly exploring and implementing alternative approaches within the programme to ensure its effectiveness and relevance.
- Build and nurture robust relationships with key stakeholders, including School Principals, Chairpersons, Directors, Head Chains of Schools, Education Departments, and Authorities. Your adept relationship management skills will maximize their enduring engagement with the organization.
- Encompassing extensive travel, ensure the successful and seamless execution of programme activities, demonstrating your commitment to achieving tangible impact.
Qualification and Experience
- Should have a Bachelor’s Degree in Management, Social Sciences, or development studies, (Post Graduate in a relevant discipline is preferred).
- 8-12 years of professional experience in a fast-paced and growing environment, with at least 3 years working in a leadership role.
- A proven track record of effective leadership and management, ideally within the realm of educational or child-centric initiatives.
- Demonstrated experience in strategic partnership development and management.
- Strong analytical acumen to assess team performance and implement improvements.
- Innovative mindset with the ability to devise and implement creative strategies.
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively to oversee on-ground implementation.
