Summary of Role
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to join our team as the Donor Retention Head. This pivotal role will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to cultivate and retain donors, ensuring the long-term sustainability of our organization. This role demands a strong understanding of donor stewardship, developing strategies, team management and revenue management.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive donor retention strategies to increase donor loyalty and
- Analyze donor data and trends to identify opportunities for improving donor retention and lifetime
- Collaborate with the fundraising team to integrate retention efforts into overall fundraising campaigns and
- Implement Feedback mechanism to gather donor input and measure satisfaction, making adjustments as necessary to improve retention
- Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging trends in donor retention, incorporating innovative approaches into our strategies.
- Manage donor retention budget effectively, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently to maximize
- Supervise and mentor a team of donor retention specialists, providing guidance and support to enhance their performance and professional development.
- Serve as a liaison between donors and programmatic staff, facilitating opportunities for donor engagement and involvement in our mission.
Skills, Qualification and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g. Marketing, Communications, Nonprofits Management)
- Minimum 7 years of experience in donor relations, fundraising or a related field within the nonprofit
- Proven track record of success in donor retention, with demonstrated result in increasing donor loyalty and lifetime
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret donor data and insight to drive strategic decision-
- Experience managing teams and leading collaborative initiatives across
- Knowledge of fundraising software and CRM systems
