The socio-economic inequalities that persist in our society are often passed on to the next generation. With their vulnerable and impressionable minds, young people, often unconsciously, inherit the social biases and cultural contexts, preventing them from breaking this vicious cycle. Children are the future of our country and only when they stand together, will our society truly progress.
Smile Foundation’s Child for Child programme was initiated in 2006 as an affirmative step in this direction. Smile Foundation strongly believes that unless the privileged society is involved proactively in the process of development, sustainable change will not happen.
Children have the potential to be the best change agents, be it in their family or the community in which they live. But, unfortunately, in today’s world, indifference is fast taking over the natural empathetic tendencies of children. Hence, it has become very important to channel the energy and enthusiasm of children and youth in a positive direction.
The Child for Child Programme has been designed to work at three levels:
Instilling core values through interactive sessions and engaging workshops that make learning meaningful
Creating crucial dialogue through seminars & workshops
Fostering essential conversations with seminars and workshops that inspire impactful change in educationRaising awareness through webinars and communication tools to support informed and mindful parenting

2500+ Value Education Sessions
More than 2,500 value education sessions were conducted in schools across India, aiming to instill ethical values and social awareness among students. These sessions sensitized children to critical societal issues while encouraging them to grow into responsible and compassionate citizens. Inspiring stories of change-makers, pioneers, and national leaders were shared, emphasizing values like empathy, leadership, and community service.

10th Edition of Smile Int’l Film Festival
The milestone 10th edition of Smile International Film Festival for Children and Youth celebrated the power of meaningful cinema in shaping young minds. Over 100 critically acclaimed films were showcased to an audience of more than 5,000 school children and youth. The festival provided a platform for discussion on global issues, social responsibility, and moral dilemmas, fostering creativity, awareness, and cultural exchange through thought-provoking storytelling.

Workshops for Teachers & Educators
Specialized workshops were organised for teachers and educators on emotional well being and its impact on student success. The sessions equipped teachers with strategies to create a positive school environment. Educators learned techniques for fostering resilience, managing stress, and using emotional intelligence to support students’ academic and personal growth, ultimately helping build a more nurturing and effective learning ecosystem.
