DESCRIPTION:PepsiCo Foundation\, in partnership with Smile Foundation and District Administration\, inaugurated a Model Anganwadi Centre in the Channo village of Sangrur district\, Punjab. A special event was organised to celebrate the Nutrition Enhancement Programme in Sangrur. The event saw the unveiling of an exclusive recipe book and a compilation of nutritious recipes created by the local community and nutritional experts. The Nutrition Enhancement programme was launched in 2019 with an aim to improve the nutritional status of pregnant and lactating women\, and children in the age group 0-6 years across 13 villages in Bhawanigarh block of Sangrur District\, Punjab.
