DESCRIPTION:On 12th October\, 2015 students from STeP Center Dr. Ambedkar Sheti Vikas VA Sanshodhan Sanstha\, (Mumbai)\, went to Hyper City Store. \n22 Students along with 2 teachers were present for the exposure visit. Mr. Kamlesh\, Marketing manager\, Hyper City Store interacted with the students. He explained about retail sector and briefed the ways how to sell a product and how to communicate with customers. The Store was divided into different sections like food bar\, home-wear\, home entertainment\, Hi-tech appliances\, furniture\, sports\, toys and fashion at ever better prices. \nDuring the visit\, students interacted with the employees of Hyper City Store and asked questions on Retail Sector. Students were able to understand the procedure of work and were able to clarify their doubts about what exactly is needed to get a job at the Retail Sector. At the end of the visit students were very motivated through the outcomes of the visit.

DESCRIPTION:On 15th October\, 2015 students from STeP Center Saprem\, Mumbai went for an Exposure Visit to Reliance Digital Mart at Sakinaka. \nTotal of 28 beneficiaries were present for the visit. Ms. Swati Bhatt\, Sales Executive\, Reliance Digital Mart\, interacted with the students and shared the skill of selling. He also gave some selling techniques of electronic gadgets like laptop\, mobile\, computers and gave some important facts of retail management. \nAfter observation\, students asked several question which were promptly answered by the Sales Executive. At the end of the visit students were very happy and learned many new things through this visit and look forward to get an employment in this sector.

DESCRIPTION:On 16 October\, 2015 students from STeP center Gosavi Bahuuddeshiya Sanstha\, Mumbai went for an Exposure Visit to Big Bazaar. \nTotal of 32 students and 4 teachers were present for the Exposure visit. Ms. Tishu Kohli\, HR and Mr. Ravi Gangurde\, Manager\, Big Bazaar interacted with the students and briefed some important facts of HR and Retail. They also gave some information to student how and which type of employment is available in “Big Bazaar”. While visiting whole mall\, students observed that the mall divided into separate sections like food bar\, home-wear\, home- entertainment\, furniture\, sports\, toys and fashion etc. \nDuring the visit\, students asked several questions related how to exchange a product\, how can they apply for job in Big Bazaar\, how they handle a customer’s if customers asked for some kind of discounts. At the end of the day students were very happy and motivated.

SUMMARY:160 students from Smile Foundation's Mission Education centre – IRDO visit the Salar Jung Museum
DESCRIPTION:160 students from Smile Foundation’s Mission Education centre – IRDO visited the Salar Jung Museum to get acquainted with a little history of Hyderabad. They also heard some interesting old legends from the era of Hyderabad’s Nizam ruling. A session on history of Telangana rules was also held. All the students were very happy to observe artifacts through the museum complex and enthusiastically heard the stories. Post the museum visit the children visited the recreational area of the complex to play games.

SUMMARY:Education for a bright future
DESCRIPTION:82 girls from slum clusters around Delhi have been awarded merit based scholarships to complete their schooling and higher studies under Smile Foundation’s Swabhiman programme\, many of these girls are pursuing their graduation from reputed colleges and universities across the city\, including the Delhi University. Facing issues such as gender bias\, poverty\, trap of child marriage these girls could not even afford to go to school earlier. However with determination\, hard work and courage\, these girls were able to defeat their circumstances and emerge as winners. Each one of them is an inspiration for thousands of other girls struggling to survive.

While visiting the whole company students observed that the company is divided into different departments such as manufacturing\, Planning\, Marketing\, Creativity & Innovation across etc. \nDuring the visit\, Students asked several questions related to BPO Sector which was promptly answered by the instructor. At the end of exposure visit the students were very motivated and happy.

Mr. Vipin Parashar\, Manager of V3s Mall interacted with the students. He also explained with practical orientation of official data to the students in which he explains how he manages the whole transaction of mall. Then he explained the different kinds of selling techniques\, basic term of products and scenario of marketing strategy and boost in retail sector for man power to the students. \nDuring the visit the students asked several questions and queries to retail & sales. Students were able to understand the procedure of work and were able to clarify their doubts about what exactly is needed to get a job at retail sector. The exposure visit was very encouraging and students were very happy after the visit.

DESCRIPTION:On 24th October 2015\, an Employer Engagement Programme was organized at one of the STeP Center Save and Empower the Underprivileged (SETU)\, Noida. Mr. Prashant\, Associate from Accretive Health visited the center. At least 30 students participated and got benefited from the event organized. \nMr. Prashant explained the interview skills and the right attitude towards interview. He also shared the details of vacancies available in the company. He gave some career growth and the benefits of STeP course. \nThe students had an introductory session wherein they asked the several queries regarding the interest of students on joining a job.

DESCRIPTION:On 27th October\, 2015 students from STeP Center ADHAAR (Association for Development of Human Action and Rehabilitation)\, New Delhi went for an Exposure Visit to V3s East Center Mall at Vikas Marg Laxmi Nagar. \nTotal of 32 students were present for the exposure visit. Mr. Aseem Surjeet Meitei\, Unit Head\, Stanmax and Ms. Tishu Kohli\, HR manager\, shared the skill of managing customers. Firstly\, they entered Stanmax\, Max Standard Stores Private Limited; Mr. Aseem Surjeet Meitei interacted with the students and shared the experience of Retail Management. He also gave some important facts of Retail management. While visiting the store\, they observed certain aspects such as how to check hygiene and how to deal with customers for retail sector. \nSecondly\, they entered Big Bazaar; Ms. Tishu Kohli interacted with the students and shared the experience of HR. She also briefed some important facts of HR Management. When students visiting the clothes section; they observed that the items were divided into separate sections which helped the customers to locate an item eaisly. After that the students visited the billing counter and observed the process of billing and bar code reading which is marked on the product. Further\, the students visited the help desk counter and silently listened to the customer queries and responses of the executives. \nAfter observation\, students asked several questions which were promptly answered by the Ms. Tishu Kohli and Mr. Aseem Surjeet. At the end of the visit students were very happy and learned many new things through this visit. They look forward to get employed in this sector soon.

Mr. Ashok Verma\, Sr. Executive\, Mother Dairy Plant\, interacted with the students and extended a warm welcome to all the students and briefed them about the development of the plant. He along with the unit explained to the students\, the various steps involved in the packaging of milk and he also explained how the milk is brought to the unit from various unions in etherealized tankers and subjected to a number of tests before it is selected for packaging. Students were shown how the milk was subjected\, pasteurized and homogenized before packaging. \nDuring the visit\, students asked several questions\, were able to understand procedure of work and were able to clarify their doubts what exactly is needed to get a job in Retail Sector. At the end of the visit\, Students were very happy and motivated.
