SUMMARY:I am Kalam screened specially for HUDCO
DESCRIPTION:Smile Foundation organized a special screening of I am Kalam for HUDCO and its employees. This is one of the initial steps taken by Smile to sensitize the masses about the cause of Sending Every Child to School. 400 employees of HUDCO along with their CMD\, Mr. VP Balingar was present for the screening and appreciated the film\, its lead cast for their wonderful performances and Smile Foundation for its great initiative. \nAfter a very successful nationwide theatrical release\, Smile Foundation is now ready to launch I am Kalam for its primary objective – sensitization of the privileged masses about the plight of the needy\, and sensitization of the underprivileged masses about their own rights. As one of the first steps towards this objective\, Smile Foundation is trying to partner with organizations and alliances to try and reach out to maximum number of people. \nI am Kalam has come to be the most critically acclaimed film of the year so far\, and as intended has been successful in entertaining and simultaneously sensitizing the people. However the release being urban population centric\, the film has so far reached only metro\, tier 1 and 2 cities. As the next step Smile Foundation now\, through its association with a network of 2500 schools\, 100 colleges\, 50 apex management and technical institutes\, 75 corporates and 160 NGOs has already started taking the film to the rural interiors too\, in order to sensitize individuals\, authorities\, groups and communities at all levels.
