DESCRIPTION:On 10th June 2011\, Smile foundation`s newly opened STeP centre ANK in Ghaziabad. was visited by the Global CSR head of Samsung\, along with its corporate communication head Ms. Ruchika Batra. The interaction with the students \,the instructors and the coordinator made the visitors understand the livelihood programme i.e. Smile twin e learning programme (STeP) where the students are provided training in key employability skills like English proficiency \, computer operations\, personality development \,basic and retail management \,adolescent and reproductive health \, clearing focusing on its objective which is towards creating a pool of independent youth living with dignity\, from marginalized section through skill enhancement in tandem with market requirements.

DESCRIPTION:Smile foundation \,organized an employer engagement program for the students of NIPUN STeP centre on 15th June\, 2011with VODAFONE . Mr. Nadeem from Vodafone oriented the students for the jobs the BPOs sector has to offer to the youth.. The session started with the introduction of the students followed by the joint interactive sections on various benefits involved after joining the BPO sector. Mr. Nadeem explained the students that how the involvement of young students will help them in enhancing the personal as well as professional skills.During the session \, individual interaction was also done by Mr. Nadeem \, to build confidence among the students.

SUMMARY:Placement workshop for STeP students
DESCRIPTION:FPA India in association with Smile Foundation held a placement workshop on 16th June 2011\, broadly focusing on areas related to Understanding a Call centre \,its data entry processes \,the role and responsibilities in organization that an employee has and the major attributes that a candidate should possess while applying for a job. Three eminent people from different back grounds were invited for this workshop. Mr. Yashpal Rajput of Sky Info Solutions \,Mr. Mahesh Dubey\, Labour Contractor who took the session on Opportunities in manufacturing sector and Dr. Rajendra Rajput \, a Consultant taking a general session on career growth.
