SUMMARY:Flying high – Meaning of Independence: A Smile – TCS Initiatives for Underprivileged children
DESCRIPTION:Maitree -Tata Consultancy Services [TCS] and Smile Foundation came together to celebrate the spirit of Independence Day – Tiranga Utsav with the underprivileged children. \nThis event was an endeavor to sensitize children about the eventful day trying to inculcate values and knowledge of history. Children’s involvement in such events is to create awareness & also make them feel part of the mainstream society\, making them realize they too can contribute and make a difference in the society. \nThe event gave an opportunity to Smile’s children to spend an evening with TCS family .Various fun filled activities like kite flying\, drawing competition\, musical chair etc. were organized by TCS for the children which saw an overwhelming response. \nCaptain Shweta Mishra – Maitree Head\, Delhi region\, coordinated the entire event along with Ms. Anju Dhoop – Asst Manager HR. \nThe initiative was a step ahead taken together by TCS & Smile Foundation to bring a smile on face of innocent children & bring some joy into their lives.
