The partnership will result into directly benefitting 11\,880 beneficiaries during the span of nine months. \nThe intervention will make the health care amenities accessible in 23 slums/resettlement colonies of Bengaluru. The vehicle is equipped with a qualified doctor\, nurse\, lab technician\, pharmacist and a driver\, to be overall administered by the Project Coordinator. Besides medical consultation\, the beneficiaries will also be provided with free of cost medicines and lab testing facilities. \nThe operations started in January 2016.

SUMMARY:Employer Engagement Program - Deustche Bank
DESCRIPTION:On 15th January 2016\, Sujaya Foundation Chembur\, Mumbai conducted an Employer Engagement Program for the current batch STeP students at their respective STeP Center. Total of 27 students participated in the program. Ms. Gauri\, HR manager from Deustche Bank\, Goregaon at Mumbai was invited as a guest for an engagement program. He discussed with the students about the various job opening in the Bank. She also explained about the job profile and salary structure. \nThe whole program was very motivating as it ensured the beneficiaries that they should be enthusiastic about getting involved in such training program as it is very important to find creative and meaningful way for them to participate so the efforts can really make a difference. At end of the Employer Engagement Program the students were very confident and were able to understand how to reply in interview and also how to present themselves in interview.

In the visit a total of 37 students and 2 teachers participated. \nMr. Sanjeev\, Store Manager and Ms. Sristhi Kathur\, HR Consultant interacted with the students. Mr. Sanjeev briefed about the working structure of store. He also explained the term and condition if anyone will join this group. He elaborated that Pantaloons had four sections like Men\, Women\, Kids and Non apparel. Ms. Sristhi briefed about the scenario of manpower and working hours of retail Industry. Few students were shown their personal interest to work with pantaloons. \nAfter seeing all things students ask questions to store staffs and they were able to understand the procedure of work. The visit was provided to them in order to have a better understanding and improve their communication skills. The students were much energized and motivated through the outcome of the exposure visit.

DESCRIPTION:On 16th February 2016\, students from the STeP Center Aident Social Welfare Organization went for an exposure visit to Mother Dairy at Patpatganj in Delhi. \nTotal of 30 students along with 3 teachers were present during the exposure visit. Mr. Ashok Verma\, Sr. Executive\, Mother Dairy Plant\, interacted with the students. He briefed about the development of the plant. He also explained to the students\, the various steps involved in the packaging of milk and how the milk is brought to the units from various unions in etherealized tankers. Students were shown how the milk was subjected pasteurized and homogenized before packaging. \nDuring the visit\, students asked several questions\, were able to understand procedure of work and were able to clarify their doubts about the retail sector. At the end of the visit students were very happy.

SUMMARY:Older Meets the Younger Program
DESCRIPTION:IPER organized week long program for the students where the ‘Older Meets the Younger’ through ‘call for education’. The senior sponsored students took the classes of ‘Mission Education’ project at IPER for two weeks (16th Feb-3rd March 16) \nThe senior students taught the younger children simple Yoga\, Music\, Art. They also trained them to follow basic rules during group activities and also at meal time. Children were also trained to follow rules and maintain decorum in the classroom and home whenever and wherever required. \nChildren were also happy knowing that they are taken care of by the older boys and girls who were also students of IPER since their childhood. The senior group of student too felt honored with the opportunity.

DESCRIPTION:On 18th February\, 2016 students from the STeP Center Gosavi Bahuuddeshiya Sanstha went for an exposure visit to Metro Mall\, Kalyan in Mumbai. The main objective of this visit was to create awareness among the participants and enhance their knowledge on the best practice of the retail sector. \nMrs. Priya\, HR manager\, Metro Mall interacted with 34 students along with 2 teachers and center coordinator. She briefed about the different sections in the mall. The beneficiaries saw that the mall had various brand outlets such as CCD\, Food Bazaar\, Body Shop and Lifestyle etc. She also explained the job opportunity and the job vacancies in this sector. The role and responsibilities of HR department in this sector were also elaborated. \nAt the end of the visit students asked several queries related to Human Resource. Students were very happy and motivated after the visit.

DESCRIPTION:Smile Foundation in collaboration with GAIL India conducted a Smile Health Camp at the Radhogadh in which health check up of 50 students was performed. The hemoglobin levels\, weights and height of all the students were checked by the doctors present. The doctor in charge Dr. Santosh Bhargav said that it is very important to keep the health of the children in check along with their education. Two more doctors\, Dr. Hemant Arya and Dr. Girish Sharma were also present in the camp along with lab technicians who helped carry out the procedure.

SUMMARY:Exposure Exposure Visit at Pantaloons
DESCRIPTION:On 19th February 2016\, STeP Center Bal Vikas Dhara conducted an exposure visit to Pantaloons at Select City Walk in Delhi. 30 students along with 3 teachers were part of the visit. \nIt was initiated to provide a better understanding of the working environment to the students. Students visited Pantaloons store and took relevant understating about the store. Ms. Surabhi\, HR Assistant explained them how to handle customers\, what are the challenges faced in retail sector and job vacancies in this sector. The beneficiaries keenly observed the whole program and had an immense learning experience which would help them to excel in their life. \nDuring the visit the students asked questions related to retail sector and HR assistant promptly answered their questions. Students were provided with the best of knowledge and the outcome of the visit was quite remarkable.

SUMMARY:Exposure Visit at Reliance Retail
DESCRIPTION:On 20th Feb 2016\, students from the STeP Center Matoshree Aarogya Sevadham Trust went for an exposure visit to Reliance Retail\, Time Square at Sakinaka\, Mumbai. \nA total no. of 25 students along with 2 teachers form the center were present during the visit. They entered with the entrance security counter and students were very excited for this visit. Mr. Prakash More\, Deputy General Manager\, Reliance Retail interacted with the students and shared the experience of retail management. He also explained the selling process and how to achieve their selling target in this sector. After visiting the whole store Mr. Prakash asked questions to the students regarding retail management and the students were able to promptly answer to him. \nAt the end of the visit students were able to understand the whole set of procedures taken up at the Reliance store and they were very happy with this exposure visit.

The venue of the visit was Westside (Tata Group) at Kaushambi in Ghaziabad. \nIn the visit Mr. Chandra Prakash\, Store Manager\, Westside (Tata Group) interacted with STeP students. During this visit Mr. Chandra took a session for the STeP students. He explained the nature of job under Westside\, salary structure and duty schedule of the staffs. He suggested that job training was important before facing the interview. He told that during the training session would help them to understand the work. \nAfter attending the visit students were very happy and satisfied. The students said they are looking forward to be a part of Westside.

DESCRIPTION:On 25th February 2016\, STeP Center Navjyoti India Foundation India\, Delhi organized an Exposure Visit for the students of STeP at Big Bazaar\, Inderlok at Delhi. 21 students participated for the visit. The main objective of this exposure was to create awareness among the participants and enhance their knowledge on the best practice of the retail sector. \nThe students were very delighted to experience the working environment in the Big Bazaar. Mr. Saurabh Kumar\, HR manager\, Big Bazaar interacted with the students. He briefed orientation about the nature of the work and various personality development skills. He also explained about the retail sector and how to manage all stores in Big Bazaar\, how to handle customers and what is the SOP (Standard Operation Procedure) of the organization. \nDuring the visit the students asked several questions and queries to retails & sales. Students were able to understand the procedure of work and were able to clarify their doubts about what exactly is needed to get a job at retail sector. Students were very encouraging and happy after the visit.

They started with the entrance security counter in Big Bazaar. Mr. Saurabh briefed about the different sections in Big Bazaar like Jewelry section\, Clothes section and Food Bar etc. He also shared the job opportunities\, working hours\, leave policy and the salary structure of the staff. \nAfter the visit students asked their queries to the mall staff and the Store Manager. The students were able to clarify any doubts that they had regarding the overall working procedure of the retail shop. At the end of the day students were motivated and much energized.

SUMMARY:Health Awareness Programme for Adolescent Girl's
DESCRIPTION:On 26.03.2016 and 01.03.2016 two health awareness programs for adolescent girls were organized at Baruipur and Taldi Sabuj Kunri Centre of the Mission Education programme of Smile Foundation from 8 am to 9:30 am only for the girl students of Sabuj Kunri centre. Maintenance of hygiene during periods\, handling oneself carefully at this time\, proper knowledge of the changes that occur to the body during this period\, anemia-it’s causes and how to avoid it\, facility of Iron and Folic acid tablet etc were taught to the girls by Sutapa Chakroborty and Baishali Maity who are gynecologists. 29 students participated in this programme. The participants were happy with the programme as they got to learn many things.

This year’s show saw participation from leading contemporary artists from across the country – Anjolie Ela Menon\, Sujata Achrekar\, Babu Xavier\, Shankar Kendale\, Bikash Poddar\, Santanu Roy\, Ganesh Haloi\, S.Harsha Vardhana\, Ramesh Gorjala\, Subrata Das\, H R Das\, Vrindavan Solanki\, M.Praveen Kumar\, K.Muralidharan\, Dutta Bansode\, S.Priya\, Jagannath Paul\, Nikheel Aphale\, P.Elanchezhiyan\, Uday Jain\, Hrishikesh\, V.Anamika\, Subir Dey\, S G Vasudev\, AV Ilango\, Sachin Jaltara\, JMS Mani\, Suresh P\, Paresh Hazra\, Basuki Dasgupta\, and Seema Kohli. \nThe proceeds from the sale of the paintings went towards supporting the education of girl children under Smile Foundation’s Mission Education programme.The show also saw active participation and support from art connoisseurs and collectors from all over Bengaluru.

She gave some job responsibilities and job duration and also shared the experience of Human Resource and Big Bazaar. \nDuring the visit\, students visited two different places and students asked several queries and questions related to retail and Big Bazaar which was promptly answered by the HR manager and the Unit Head. At the end of the visit the students were very motivated and happy.
