SUMMARY:Santa Cruz-Chembur bridge in Mumbai gets a Smile on Wheel mobile hospital
DESCRIPTION:More than 150 children and their families living under the Santa Cruz-Chembur bridge\, Mumbai got a rare access to primary healthcare. The people who somehow make both ends meet by selling stuff made out of plastic\, healthcare and sanitation are not something they pay attention to. Surprisingly many families turned up. The camp was helpful for the families as they were provided treatment that included OPD sessions\, diagnosis\, distribution of medicines\, and referral services. Besides these\, health counseling was done to generate awareness on health-seeking behavior among the families.

SUMMARY:Saina Nehwal meets Smile kids at launch of nutrition programme
DESCRIPTION:Ace Badminton player Saina Nehwal came on board with Smile Foundation and Herbalife Family Foundation\, for the launch of the third phase of the Casa Herbalife programme. \n1000 children studying at Mission Education centres across India will be provided free nutritional support under the programme covering New Delhi\, Gurgaon (Haryana) and Chandigarh in the North; Kolkata (West Bengal) in the East; Baroda (Gujarat) and Thane (Maharashtra) in the West; and Chennai (Tamil Nadu)\, Hyderabad (Telangana) and Bengaluru (Karnataka) in the South. \nHerbalife Family Foundation has already been supporting the nutrition of 2000 Smile Foundation children over the last two years. \nExtremely poor families often have to make the choice between sending their children to work in order to get food\, and sending them to school. As such\, providing school meals can be a crucial factor in determining whether a child has an education. \nSmile Foundation has been making efforts to not only provide underprivileged children with nutritious food at Mission Education centres across India\, but also making their parents and communities aware about the importance of proper nutrition in the holistic development of children.
