SUMMARY:Ericsson Employees conduct mentoring session with STeP children
DESCRIPTION:A mentoring session was organized for the trainees of NIPUN-STeP Center\, Kapashera by Ericsson team who visited the center on 13th September 2017. The main objective of this session was to mentor underprivileged youth about the importance of the STeP Centers and employability. All the trainees of the centre were made to form 5 groups for discussions. Individual counseling and personality development sessions were also conducted for the learners. During the session\, topics like importance of communication skills\, personal and professional relationship\, use of internet in a constructive manner and gender equality were covered. \nSmile Twin E- learning Programme (STeP) is an initiative of Smile Foundation that aims at creating a pool of young and independent people\, from a section of underprivileged youth\, through skill enhancement in tandem with market requirements. It is an effort towards bridging the gap between demand and supply of skilled manpower in the fast emerging services and retail sectors of modern India. \nSmile Foundation is a national level development organization directly benefitting over 400\,000 children and their families every year\, through more than 200 live welfare projects on education\, healthcare\, livelihood and women empowerment\, in over 950 remote villages and slums across 25 states of India.
