SUMMARY:Center Exchange Programme
DESCRIPTION:On 13 February 2012 at SION STeP2 center 13 children & 2 teachers from SION center and 9 children & 3 teachers from PRAYOG center with guests JYOTI TANNA (founder chair person of EOTO) KOMAL GABA AND RATNAM SIR.co-ordinator: CHRISTOPHER QUADROS\, NITIN (SMILE FOUNDATION) and KAJAL HARYANI get together for the center exchange programme . \nAt the beginning\, a warm welcome was given to every one by Christopher sir. \nHe started the session on Personal Excellence with the help of a presentation. At the beginning each and every one was distributed a leaf of different kind. He asked them to observe the leaf and return to him.Again these leaves were distributed for a second observation and study. Finally he collected them back. He asked everybody to describe their learning from the leaves. \nVarious answers were given about the color\, structure\, features\, etc. From this activity he tried to convey the message that every person is special and unique like the leaves which have its own uniqueness. The presentation continued with information on gaining personal excellence. \nIn the next activity “A to Z”\, 2 groups were made. Each group was asked to give a name to their group and appoint a leader. Thereafter\, all members had to find out articles in the alphabetical order and submit before him. The group that finished first was the winner. Everybody enjoyed it very much. This activity taught them team work and enhanced their leadership qualities. \nThis interaction session was held to have fraternity with each other. \nOur aim to arrange these workshops is to build confidence in children with some information and some fun too. Our purpose is solved as we see that the students are interacting very well with each other. \nI am sure that with all such activities\, the children will have no fear in their future. It was very nice to see all the children so happy at the end of the workshop. \nI also strongly feel that these small workshops would make a BIG difference for children to groom and shape up in life as it builds confidence in them.
