DESCRIPTION:On 5th April 2016\, an Employee Engagement Programme was organized by the STeP centre Centre for Rural Action (CERA). Mr. Sivanantha Perumal\, Manager of Sun Pharma Ltd. visited the STeP centre to conduct EEP. A total of 40 students took part in the session. \nThe topic of discussion for the session was how to reach the customers with new brands. There were various activities which were conducted as part of the programme including Role plays on how to interact with the client\, discussion on brand marketing and persuasion\, talking about the needs of the customers and achieving the goal. The manager also discussed the power of digital media in today’s world. \nAt the end\, he asked the students to be regular in the classes and get equipped with the skills which are required to be a part of this competitive world.

DESCRIPTION:On 11th April 2016\, an employee engagement programme was organized by the organization Mamatha Makala Mandira in Bangalore. The session was taken by Prasad TM\, Social scientist and Anil Kumar\, Sales Head Ravindu Toyoto\, Bangalore. 35 students participated in the session \nThe theme of discussion was the skills requires in marketing. The discussion also included the employment opportunities in the same field. \nThe activities which were part of the programme were sales activities\, mock interviews\, ground level challenges and solutions. The session helped the students to open up and respond to the questions raised in the discussion. It also helped the students to gain clear knowledge on marketing.

DESCRIPTION:The STeP centre SAMA Foundation organized an exposure visit to The Big Market\, Electronic city\, Bangalore on 13th April 2016. 21 students went for the exposure visit. \nMr. Rajendra\, the Store Manager\, talked to all the students and discussed about the tactics to manage the customers\, how to deal with them. He provided them the information about his store\, the goods and details about them. He even took the students to take a round of the entire store. \nThe students were motivated after the visit and some of them showed interest in working there.

He provided them the information about his store\, the goods and details about them. He even took the students to take a round of the entire store. \nThe students also had a group discussion about the strategies to sell the product and how to fulfill the needs of the customer. \nThrough this exposure visit to Westside\, the student felt grateful as they got the opportunity to learn and observe new things about the retailing sector

DESCRIPTION:On 16th April 2016\, Mr. Krishna Bhargav from D-Mart had visited our STeP Center Association for Promoting Social Action(APSA) regarding various jobs opening in the Human Resource faculty. \nThe activities which were a part of the programme included conducting mock interviews with the students individually. Mock interviews helped the students to build confidence and practice the tips provided at the time of the interview. EEP instilled confidence in the students and helped to provide the clear idea about their future. After the programme\, students gained meaningful knowledge about HR sector. The programme was very informative and it helped the students to get enlightened about the ways processes happen in the manufacturing industry.
