Mr. Ashraf Sheikh an HR executive from Sundaram BPO Company.In the session 35 students were present along with the staffs. \nHe explained about the job profile of the call centre like Customer Care Executive(CCE)\, Team Leader(TL) etc. He also discussed on the technical terms used in the BPO and breifed the students about the kind of growth then can get in the industry. \nOther main points discussed in the session: \n\nWhat is call center.\nTypes of call center.\nKind of work.\nDifference between Inbound and Outbound calls.\nWhat is a sale.\nWhat is insurance.\nWhat are the several forms of insurance.\n\nStudents were very excited about the employer engagement program and after the program students said they are really feeling confident

DESCRIPTION:On 6th February 2013\,students from Bangaluru STeP Center Sama Foundation visited the Reliance Fresh store at New Yelahanka town for an Exposure visit. Total of 23 students with 2 teachers visited the store.Mr. Srinivas\, the assistant manager of the store explained the process of store management and the roles and responsibilities of Customer Sales Associate(CSA) at Reliance Fresh Store. \nOther main points discussed in the visit were \n\nHow the Goods will come to store\nKeeping them for demonstration\nBilling procedure\nRegular offers and schemes at Reliance\nWork responsibility of all employees in a store.\nBenefits of working with reliance.\n\nThe students who have learnt about the retail management at class room got ideal information about the retail store. Students have understand the Roles and Responsibilities of CSA.Students got information about the operation of a store. \nMr Srinivas explained the process of joining Reliance Fresh. He said if anyone wants to join the company then he/she can go for the interview and start their career in the retail field.

DESCRIPTION:On 8th February 2013\, an Employer Engagement Program was conducted in one of the STeP centre \,Sama Foundation\,located in Bangalore. Mr. Satish \,the HR executive from More Retail was invited at the center for the session.A total of 30 students participated in the program along with the staffs. \nMr. Satish started the session by giving a brief description about the organization its policies and structure. He explained each minute detail about retail sectors and the working culture. Ms. Satish also explained the career growth options in the organization and the future expansion of the retails. Further he discussed about the roles and responsibilities of an employee which plays a great role for the organizational growth. \nMr. Satish described the job profile and the various openings available in their company\, and also encouraged the students to participate in the interview process. \nOther main points discussed are as follows: \n\nSession on More retail store and structure of organization.\nExplained the good qualities of CSA (Customer sales associate)\nRole of CSA in retail store\nCarrier growth in retail sector.\nDifferent types of customers.\nHow to face a tough customer.\n\nAll the students were very happy and were highly enriched with the knowledge shared by the team of More Retail.The students questioned about the internal recruitment process\, so that they can prepare themselves and gets selected with flying colors.

DESCRIPTION:On 21st February 2013\, an Employer Engagement Program was organised with Nestle Company at the STeP center SHED\,Mumbai. They conducted a Workshop for the Step Students\, In the event around 36 Students were present at the venue. \nSix members from Nestle Company given orientation and conducted workshop for the students.They communicated and motivated the student to join the company. In the process they briefed the students with some of the best seling products like Milkmaid\, maggi\, kalakand mix\, Etc. \nThey also prepared some of the ready to eat products for the students and also asked the students to participate The program was very informative and the outcome was useful as it helped the students to take the right decision about their career. The visit initiated for the students was considered as a best way for learning through their workshop.

SUMMARY:Exposure Visit at Inorbit Mall
DESCRIPTION:On 22nd February 2013\, the students from the STeP center Desh Seva Samiti\,Goregaon\,Mumbai\, were taken on an Exposure visit to Inorbit Mall (Malad).15 students along with the instructor were part of the visit. \nIt was initiated to provide a better understanding and a working environment for the students. Students visited different types of shops which were there in Mall premises. They took a relevant understanding about Floor Management\, Security Operations\, House Keeping and various seasonal events. The beneficiaries keenly observed the whole program and had an immense learning experience for them to excel in their life.
