SUMMARY:Special camp & awareness session on Menstrual Hygiene
DESCRIPTION:A session on menstrual hygiene and a special health camp was organized for girls from Udaan Rose Homes for orphan girls under the Smile on Wheels mobile hospital programme to sensitize them on adolescent health issues. The discussion on menstrual hygiene included videos and pictorial presentation\, explaining concepts of reproductive system\, menstrual cycle\, and importance of sanitary napkins to the participants. \nThe Smile on Wheels programme has so far provided free healthcare services to more than 10 lakh children and families. \nSmile Foundation is an NGO in India directly benefitting over 750\,000 children and their families every year\, through more than 350 live welfare projects on education\, healthcare\, livelihood and women empowerment\, in over 1000 remote villages and slums across 25 states of India.
