SUMMARY:Teachers training and Capacity building workshop in Dharavi
DESCRIPTION:Teacher’s Training and Capacity Building Workshop was organized for teachers of Mission Education centers in Mumbai by Smile Foundation. The training was organized after conducting a need assessment survey. It was a step further in ensuring quality education and accessible learning for children from marginalized sections of the society under Mission Education and the workshop was aimed at enabling all round development of children\, and different methodologies for teaching children in the primary and middle classes. \nMission Education is a national level programme of Smile Foundation\, which is committed to providing basic education and healthcare to underprivileged children. \nSmile Foundation is an NGO in India directly benefitting over 750\,000 children and their families every year\, through more than 350 live welfare projects on education\, healthcare\, livelihood and women empowerment\, in over 1000 remote villages and slums across 25 states of India.

SUMMARY:Celebrity singer Tulsi Kumar celebrates her birthday with Mission Education children
DESCRIPTION:Bollywood singer Tulsi Kumar celebrated her birthday with kids from a Mission education centre in Mumbai. 30 students from the centre were present during the celebrations. The event started with cake cutting and burgers were distributed to children by the singer. It was a fun filled day for the children as well as the singer who recollected memories from her childhood as she spent her time with the kid . SUMMARY:Health check-up camp conducted for students of Mission Education centers
DESCRIPTION:A health check-up camp was organized on the 30 of March 2019 for school children from a school in Telengana. The school serves as a remedial educational centre for Mission Education. 217 school children from the school were benefitted during the program. Many children were found to be anemic and many suffered from skin diseases as well dental problems. The doctors also referred the children to concerned specialist and also prescribed medicines. All the children were provided medicines and weight and height checkup etc were also conducted.
