SUMMARY:Students workshop session conducted for school children under Smile Foundation’s Child for Child (CFC) programme
DESCRIPTION:A students workshop session was conducted for school children under Smile Foundation’s Child for Child (CFC) programme. 50 students from grade 9 and 10th students\, of Nair Essence International School\, Hingna\, Nagpur attended the early morning session on self-esteem. The children were taught how positive thinking\, practice\, training\, knowledge and talking to other people are all useful ways to help improve or boost your confidence levels to grow up as a successful as well as happy individual\, among other subjects. \nSmile Foundation visits various privileged schools across India and conducts engaging sessions for the young minds\, under CFC programme. Smile Foundation believes along with education of children sensitization in various causes\, value systems should be ushered to realize their importance in growing up as responsible citizens of the country. \nCFC currently reaches out to nearly one million privileged children in 900 schools spread across 417 districts of India\, every year. In addition\, their parents and teachers are also involved in the process. The programme has today reached out to each part of India with the exception of Lakshadweep.

DESCRIPTION:A teachers workshop for 40 teachers of Delhi Public School Chattisgarh was conducted on the topics of engaging class room and teaching methodology in schools. \nThe term teaching methododology refers to the general principles\, pedagogy and management strategies used for classroom instruction. it is important because for a particular teaching method to be appropriate and efficient it has to be in relation with the characteristic of the learner and the type of learning it is supposed to bring about. \nAn engaging classroom is important the degree of attention\, curiosity\, interest\, optimism\, and passion that students show when they are learning or being taught\, extends to the level of motivation they have to learn and progress in their education. \nKeeping both these things in mind teachers were sensitized about various ways to keep the children engaged and inculcate new ways in the teraching methodology to keep the classroom teaching-learning process more interesting. \nSmile Foundation visits various privileged schools across India and conducts engaging sessions for the young minds\, under CFC programme.
