SUMMARY:STeP alumni meet organized in Kolkata
DESCRIPTION:An alumni meet was organized for former trainees of the Smile Twin e-Learning Programme (STeP) in Kolkata. The students met to discuss ways to inspire more youth from challenging socio-economic backgrounds to join the skill based training programme that had changed their lives. All of these STeP alumni now have a steady source of income\, are supporting their families and making their own lives better. \nSo far\, more than 22\,600 youth have been trained and 14\,500 have been placed in over 150 brands through 91 operational projects across India. \nSmile Foundation is an NGO in India directly benefitting over 750\,000 children and their families every year\, through more than 350 live welfare projects on education\, healthcare\, livelihood and women empowerment\, in over 1000 remote villages and slums across 25 states of India.
