SUMMARY:Community leads Women’s Day celebration in Gurugram
DESCRIPTION:International Women’s Day was celebrated by 100 community women and adolescent girls in Gurugram under the Swabhiman programme. The celebration started with a street play performed on importance of a woman in our society\, followed by a skit by community women on impact of Swabhiman programme in their lives. Children from the community presented a puppet show on the importance of education for girls. \nSo far\, Swabhiman has successfully made a difference to the lives of over 500\,000 women and girl children. \nSmile Foundation is an NGO in India directly benefitting over 750\,000 children and their families every year\, through more than 350 live welfare projects on education\, healthcare\, livelihood and women empowerment\, in over 1000 remote villages and slums across 25 states of India.
