SUMMARY:Children from Mission Education centers celebrate Republic Day
DESCRIPTION:Children from Mission Education centers in all 21 states of India celebrated Republic Day with much joy. Teachers spoke about the importance of the day and children participated in various cultural activities like singing patriotic songs\, dancing\, performing one act plays on the importance of the day. National flags were hoisted in each of the centers and the children sung the national anthem as a mark of respect. Sweets and other refreshments were distributed to the children at the end of the programme. \nMission Education is a national level programme of Smile Foundation\, which is committed to providing basic education and healthcare to underprivileged children. \nSmile Foundation is an NGO in India directly benefitting over 600\,000 children and their families every year\, through more than 250 live welfare projects on education\, healthcare\, livelihood and women empowerment\, in over 950 remote villages and slums across 25 states of India.
