SUMMARY:Annual Sports Day celebrations at Mission Education centre
DESCRIPTION:The annual sports day was celebrated in all the Mission Education centers of Kolkata. Various kinds of sporting activities were conducted for a week which was a way to encourage the children to play outdoors rather than spending time watching television etc. Group games also encourage the children to work in harmony. Prizes were distributed to the winners of various games and cultural performances also made the day a memorable one. \nMission Education is a national level programme of Smile Foundation\, which is committed to providing basic education and healthcare to underprivileged children. \nSmile Foundation is an NGO in India directly benefitting over 600\,000 children and their families every year\, through more than 250 live welfare projects on education\, healthcare\, livelihood and women empowerment\, in over 950 remote villages and slums across 25 states of India.
