DESCRIPTION:Popular television actor Mishal Raheja spent a fun filled day with the children of a Mission Education centre at Mumbai. The actor had some fun filled moments with the kids as they danced and sang along with him. They also had an interactive session with the actor and introduced themselves. Both the children and the actor had much fun during the day. \nMission Education is a national level programme of Smile Foundation\, which is committed to providing basic education and healthcare to underprivileged children \nSmile Foundation is an NGO in India directly benefitting over 600\,000 children and their families every year\, through more than 250 live welfare projects on education\, healthcare\, livelihood and women empowerment\, in over 950 remote villages and slums across 25 states of India.

SUMMARY:Exposure visit conducted for Swabhiman Scholars
DESCRIPTION:An exposure visit1 was organized for Swabhiman scholars on the 20th of December 2017. The first place visited was National Science Center where the scholars explored a variety of exhibits through the various sections like Human Biology gallery\, Fun Science Library\, Heritage and Dinosaur gallery\, Nuclear Science gallery\, Revolution gallery\, etc. The Center is a platform for showcasing the varied features of the world of science. The scholars tried the various hands-on exhibits that helped them understand the many principles of science used in day to day life. \nThe next place the scholars visited was Humayun’s Tomb. The scholars explored the whole walled enclosure\, the garden squares and the dome structure. The scholars acknowledged the effort for organizing the interesting visit to such places as they were able to learn about varied things. \nSwabhiman\, meaning self-respect in English\, was initiated in 2005 to address these challenges through a simple yet effective approach. The programme is specifically aimed at realization of both individual and collective self-esteem and inner strength for marginalised and socially excluded women and adolescent girls through innovative community practices.

SUMMARY:Tusshar Kapoor celebrates Christmas with smile Foundation kids
DESCRIPTION:Actor Tushar Kapoor spent a fun filled day playing Santa and spreading the cheer of Christmas with the children of a Mission Education centre in Mumbai. 50 kids were present for the event and welcomed Tushaar with smiles and showed their talents through various performances. The kids also presented greeting cards to the actor and a cake cutting ceremony was also held.
