SUMMARY:World Food Day with the tiny tots
DESCRIPTION:On 16th October 2017\, World Food Day; Smile Foundation along with Quaker Oats came together to create awareness about the importance of nutrition for each and every child through a feeding drive in Mumbai and Delhi. The children were feed delicious and nutritious food on the occasion. \n#FeedAChild is an initiative of Quaker India to bring a fistful of nutrition to thousands of underprivileged children in India. Food and nutrition play one of the most important roles in the academic life of a child\, a hungry child will never be able to concentrate in class and can never do the needful towards his/her studies if their stomachs are empty and most of the time hunger also leads to school drop-outs. Hunger also leads to many diseases in a child and in a country like India it is important that food and nutrition reach every child so that they grow healthy and are able to do great things. Keeping this in mind Quaker along with Smile Foundation hosted the events which helped create awareness about the severity of the problem. Well known celebrities like Kiara Advani and Poonam Kaul (Vice President\, PepsiCo) also joined in the initiative.
