SUMMARY:Swabhiman activities benefits men\, women and the society
DESCRIPTION:Swabhiman project titled “Empowering Women and Adolescent Girls Through Reproductive Health Education and Services” in Surat Nagar phase 2 in Gurugram\, with the aim to empower women and girl by generating awareness and providing access to quality reproductive and sexual health care. In addition\, male involvement and their sensitization is an integral part. The focus beneficiary groups included adolescent (10-19 years)\, women in reproductive age (20-49 years) and men (20-49 years). \nThrough this project 16\,465 people reached extensively and sensitized on reproductive and sexual health. 403 contraceptives & 286 sanitary napkins were distributed to promote practice of family planning and hygiene. 1315 people received free health services through periodic health camps. 131 pregnant women and 119 lactating mothers were constantly guided for proper Ante Natal and Post Natal Care. 931 community members sensitized on reproductive and sexual health issues through BCC\, and there was celebration of important days & workshops were conducted by health experts. Approximately 1000 people availed free of cost health services through periodic health camps that imbibed a health seeking behavior among the community members.

DESCRIPTION:The 6th and 7th editions of Cook for Smile were held in Bengaluru and Delhi on the 2nd and 3rd of September\, 2017 respectively. \nIn Bengaluru\, the event was presented by Phoenix Marketcity Bangalore\, in association with Quaker India\, along with hospitality partner The Chancery Pavilion\, radio partner 92.7 BIG FM\, outdoor partner Ripple Media\, gifting partner Le Creuset India and media partner CNN-News18. \nGajendra Singh Rathore from Phoenix Marketcity\, Rakesh Mishra from Target\, Suneetha Agarwal from Agarwal Hospitals\, Reeth Abraham from NEB Sports\, Vikas Seth from Embassy Leisure Blue Culinary\, Kaushik Mittal from AXA Business\, Sunitha Venugopal from WalmartLabs India and Prashanth Govindan from Harman Professional India participated in the event. \nIn Delhi the event was presented by Add Hope in association with Quaker along with hospitality partner Crowne Plaza Today\, Gurugram and media partner CNN-News 18. \nAmongst the participating corporate leaders were Praveen Reddy (Operation Head\, KFC – India)\, Mr. Abhinav Singh (Director Sales and Marketing\, Crowne Plaza Today Gurgaon)\, Amit Mehta (Managing Director\, Kohinoor Speciality Foods India Private Limited)\, Fernando Bustamante (CEO\, Mahou India)\, Mr. Oliver Mirza (Managing Director & CEO\, Dr. Oetker India Pvt. Ltd.)\, Rajat Jain (Founder\, Pad-Up Ventures)\, Pankaj Bhardwaj (Senior Director & General Manager\, South Asia\, Avery Dennison) and Deepak Mittal (Managing Director Sonalika International Tractors Ltd). \nThe event was a part of Smile Foundation’s nation-wide campaign ‘Nutrition for Education’\, which aims at providing nutrition to underprivileged children to ensure better education and holistic development for them.
