SUMMARY:Responding to disaster in Assam
DESCRIPTION:Displacing over 12 lac people the annual floods in Assam also claimed 490\,000 acres of land and the lives of 35 people. Reacting to the instant need of relief in the affected areas the Disaster Response team of Smile Foundation provided relief in the form of food and healthcare. Basic healthcare facilities\, medical diagnosis\, pathological test facilities and free of cost medicines were distributed to the affected families.

SUMMARY:Career counselling sessions held for Step students
DESCRIPTION:91 career counselling sessions were held for students from various STeP centres in the states of Mumbai\, Chennai\, Kolkata and Bengaluru\, Pune and Hyderabad. Personals from various professions and backgrounds interacted with the students on various topics such as personality development\, soft skills and their future career. Sessions were also taken up on development of confidence\, facing interviews\, decision making & to take up jobs in their field of interest. The students were greatly benefitted from these sessions which also helped them in motivating the students to go forth with different career choices.
