SUMMARY:X-athon to support health of underprivileged children
DESCRIPTION:Xavier University Bhubaneswar (XUB) organised the city’s maiden marathon named ‘X-athon’ with Smile Foundation as the cause partner. The mission behind the maiden event was to inspire individuals to work towards a healthier self and contribute towards a healthier society. \nThe event witnessed a total participation of more than 700 people from dynamic backgrounds. The marathon started from XUB-XIMB campus to Patia Square and back through Omfed Square and NALCO Square. A contribution of Rs. 60\,000 raised through X-athon will be utilized in the child healthcare component which is an integral part of Smile Foundation’s Mission Education programme. \nMr. Arun Mishra\, Vice-President Tata Steel\, Gopalpur Project and Mr. Manikant Nayak\, Chief Resident Officer\, Tata Steel\, Bhubaneswar were the Chief Guests
