SUMMARY:Workshop for principals to protect child abuse
DESCRIPTION:Smile Foundation organized a workshop on the pertinent issue of ‘Protecting Children from Sexual Predators’ in Bangalore. 60 principals and educationists represented various schools from the districts of Chikkaballapur\, Kolar\, Bangalore Rural and Bangalore Urban and participated in workshop. The workshop was second in the series. \nSteps to safeguard children\, enabling teachers\, sharing ideas for prevention and precautions were the main focus of the workshop. \nMs. Smita Kalappa\, National Director (CFC programme)\, Smile Foundation; Ms. Musrath Begum\, Regional Director (CFC – South)\, Smile Foundation; Ms. Chander Kiran Malik\, National Manager – CFC\, Smile Foundation along with Dr. Ali Khawaja\, Founder & Head of Banjara Academy steered the workshop. \n“After getting encouraging response from principals\, this is our second attempt to organize this workshop. It has to be a collective effort to make our society a better place to live in\, where children can be nurtured in a secure and conducive environment\,” said Ms. Smita Kalappa\, National Director (CFC programme)\, Smile Foundation.

SUMMARY:Students of Greenlawns School celebrate Van Mahotsav
DESCRIPTION:Smile Foundation organized a Van Mahotsav for students of Greenlawns School\, Neura in Goa. The students were sensitized about their responsibilities towards the environment and society. Children from younger classes also participated in a spelling competition on the theme of nature. The school’s Principal\, Mrs. Aurea Noronha\, along with the teachers\, encouraged the students throughout the session. \nSmile Foundation visits various privileged schools across India and conducts engaging sessions for the young minds\, under its Child for Child programme. Children are sensitized in various causes\, value systems and are ushered to realize their importance in growing up as responsible citizens of the country.

DESCRIPTION:On 26th Aug’2014 Mr.Rahul Kharat Sr. Manager from Ark communication visited the STeP center Green Tara in Pune. He briefed about his Company profile. He said that they are in link with corporates and individuals alike to get the best fit between the industry and professionals. He discussed about the employee career growth in the company. While describing about the job he mentioned that each person will be getting 90 days of guidance and counselling based on direct interaction with the professional team. Students were very happy after interacting with Mr. Rahul. The inputs given by him were very enlightening for the STeP students. By the end of his session Mr. Rahul conducted mock interviews and invited the students for job interview.
