SUMMARY:Celebrities adorn the stage at Ramp for Champs Bangalore’13
DESCRIPTION:Smile Foundation staged the fourth edition of its unique initiative Ramp for Champs in the garden city of Bangalore. Initiated in 2011\, this was the third Ramp for Champs in a row for the city. While the event has supported thousands of underprivileged children throughout its three seasons in Bangalore and Mumbai\, this edition for Bangalore\, presented by Skylark Mansions as the title partner\, focused on sending 1000 girls to school. \nThe evening began with the lighting of the lamp by Mr. Rajeev Chandrasekhar\, Member of Parliament\, who was the chief guest for the occasion. A spectacular performance of classical guitar orchestra was given by the students of William Joseph International Academy for Performing Arts. SUMMARY:Value Education Workshop
DESCRIPTION:A value education workshop for school students was conducted by Smile in Nagpur. The session covered topics about leaders of India and how they inspired change in the society. The children were taught how to lead their lives as responsible citizens. They were also taught that how even a child born into lesser privileges could turn his/her future into a bright one. Smile Foundation visits various reputed schools across India and conducts engaging sessions for the young minds under its national programme named ‘Child For Child’ (CFC). It sensitizes children towards various causes\, instills them with value system and let them realize responsibilities to grow up as a responsible citizen. During 2014-15\, Smile Foundation reached out to nearly 1 Million privileged children in 2200 schools spread across 417 districts of India\, through Child For Child programme.
