SUMMARY:20 Health Camps in association with NSIC
DESCRIPTION:Twenty health camps were conducted by Smile Foundation in various parts of Delhi NCR in association with National Small Industries Corporation Limited (NSIC). This initiative is part of an Integrated Community Development Project started by Smile Foundation and NSIC and was launched in December 2011. This project focuses at the holistic development of the underprivileged living in slums of Delhi NCR\, through education\, healthcare and women empowerment. \nThese health camps that were conducted provided curative\, preventive\, promotive and referral healthcare services to the people. OPD services for prevalent common ailments\, growth check-ups for children\, treatment for malnutrient cases\, dispensing of medicines for common ailments\, dental check-ups and eye check-ups were mainly the services that were made available in these camps. \nThey were conducted in 20 different slums across Delhi NCR\, namely – Rangpuri\, Tuglakabad\, Dhaula Kuan\, Mansarovar Park\, Rohini\, Sunder Nagri\, Sastri Nagar\, Jahangir Puri\, Kalyanvas\, Tilpath\, Majnu Ka Tila\, Gurgaon\, Motiya Khan\, Khori Kingsway Camp\, Jahank Puri\, Bhalaswa\, Tahirpur\, Wazirpur\, Nand Nagri and Faridabad. \nAll the health camps received overwhelming response from the people. As many as 5021 people were benefited. \nThe objective of conducting these health camps was to create awareness of general health among the people\, providing general health care services and counseling them\, on basic healthcare and hygiene. \nMajority of people were diagnosed with various common but seriously neglected problems such as diarrhea\, cholera and cataract in the eyes. There were also a few cases\, detected with major health problems; these cases were further referred to the referral hospital.

SUMMARY:Smile children new friends for Dia Mirza
DESCRIPTION:It was a special Friendship Day for children at Smile Foundation\, as they got the opportunity to celebrate the day with actor and Miss Asia Pacific 2000 Dia Mirza. The actor had invited the children at her residence in Mumbai to celebrate the day with the little ones. She exchanged friendship bands with the kids who were obviously at finding a new friend. \nShe spent a lot of time interacting with her new little friends discussing about her best friends who always supported her. \nTo wish Dia\, the children had specially made a Friendships Day card\, which she happily accepted and wished them for their future endeavors. Dia also distributed chocolates and gifts which the children were very excited to get. \nIn the end she congratulated Smile Foundation for the work they are doing to support these underprivileged children.

SUMMARY:Employer Engagement Program- ECIL Pvt. Ltd.
DESCRIPTION:On 5.08.2012 at Arunodaya Trust an Employer Engagement Program was done\, Mr.J S Prasad \, Soft ware \, ECIL PVT Ltd. Initially he has introduced herself to the students and all the students have introduced themselves. Later he has asked the topics which they have learnt and their back ground and he was very much interested to explain about the motivation\, building self confidence and how to face interviews. \nInitially he has taken a session on carrier and importance of family. He has explained through one story and how one can develop themselves and become a good citizen of country and how to develop in life. \nLater he made the students into small groups and made them to present what they want to do become in their life and after presentations. He explained importance of the building the carrier . \nHe has made the students to know how to face interviews and he has explained by providing few examples. Each student stood and introduced himself and he made mock interviews in front of the class room. Students have enthusiastically participated in the program. The main motive is to build the self confidence level.
