SUMMARY:20 Health Camps in association with NSIC
DESCRIPTION:Twenty health camps were conducted by Smile Foundation in various parts of Delhi NCR in association with National Small Industries Corporation Limited (NSIC). This initiative is part of an Integrated Community Development Project started by Smile Foundation and NSIC and was launched in December 2011. This project focuses at the holistic development of the underprivileged living in slums of Delhi NCR\, through education\, healthcare and women empowerment. \nThese health camps that were conducted provided curative\, preventive\, promotive and referral healthcare services to the people. OPD services for prevalent common ailments\, growth check-ups for children\, treatment for malnutrient cases\, dispensing of medicines for common ailments\, dental check-ups and eye check-ups were mainly the services that were made available in these camps. \nThey were conducted in 20 different slums across Delhi NCR\, namely – Rangpuri\, Tuglakabad\, Dhaula Kuan\, Mansarovar Park\, Rohini\, Sunder Nagri\, Sastri Nagar\, Jahangir Puri\, Kalyanvas\, Tilpath\, Majnu Ka Tila\, Gurgaon\, Motiya Khan\, Khori Kingsway Camp\, Jahank Puri\, Bhalaswa\, Tahirpur\, Wazirpur\, Nand Nagri and Faridabad. \nAll the health camps received overwhelming response from the people. As many as 5021 people were benefited. \nThe objective of conducting these health camps was to create awareness of general health among the people\, providing general health care services and counseling them\, on basic healthcare and hygiene. \nMajority of people were diagnosed with various common but seriously neglected problems such as diarrhea\, cholera and cataract in the eyes. There were also a few cases\, detected with major health problems; these cases were further referred to the referral hospital.

SUMMARY:Employer Engagement Program by CCD
DESCRIPTION:On July 13\, 2012 at FPAI RTC\, Bhopal Employer Engagement Program cum campus Placement was organized for the positions of Team member for the café coffee shops in Bhopal. Many Smile students were present in the session and 20 attended the interview out of them five were selected for the positions of team member. \nMr. Narasimha (HR Executive) from Café Coffee Day came down to the STeP center.He gave the details of Café caffee to the students he said “The first outlet in india opened in 1996 on Brigade Road in Bangalore.It’s been an exciting journey since then\, becoming the largest organized retail cafe chain in the country”. \nHe explained the job profile and the benefits a students can get after joining CCD\, in the same session he cleared the doubts of our students\, later in the session he took the interview. \nStudents participated with great enthusiasm and are very excited to join the organization.
