Smile Foundation has been honored with this award for the excellent implementation of their educational programme on grassroots level. \nNTR memorial trust has organised a musical concert on the eve of launching the campaign for charity and peace on 11. Nov. 2011 in Hyderabad. Along with Smile Foundation 11 other NGO has participated and nominated for the same category. \nSmile Foundation believes “education is end of all problems”. Through the means of education a person himself can gain good health\, also can develop skills to achieve something real in life. Since inception Smile Foundation has been striving for the development of underprivileged children with a gift of education. \n“The honor Smile Foundation has received\, means a lot to the Foundation and for the people associated with it. For the past ten years Smile Foundation has been working towards this cause and this felicitation will encourage Smile Foundation to work progressively to educate more and more underprivileged children”\, stated H.N. SUMMARY:Smile launches 12th mobile hospital
DESCRIPTION:On its way to benefit more and more unreached and deprived population with healthcare services Smile Foundation launched its 12th Smile on Wheels – a national level mobile hospital programme\, on November 11\, 2011. This project will cover a population of 48\,000 in the slums of Faridabad in Delhi NCR. The project is being implemented by Able Charities. \nMaximum inhabitants of this slum are daily wage earners\, and neglect visiting doctors despite being ill\, just because that would cost them a day’s wage. This mobile hospital will give all the preventive\, curative\, promotive and referral medical services at the doorstep of the slum dwellers of Faridabad. It will provide finest medical services to those that either cannot afford medical treatment or ignore it because of various reasons. \nFor the inauguration\, Member of the Legislative Assembly of Faridabad Shri Anand Koushik was invited as the chief guest. Shri Ashok Arora\, the Mayor of Faridabad\, Dr.Vimal Mehta\, President of K.L Mehta Dayanad College for Women and renowned social activist Shri B.R Ojha were the guests of honour. \nAcknowledging this initiative Shri Anand Koushik\, said\, “It is appreciable that\, Smile Foundation is doing such a noble job. This is for the first time in Faridabad that a mobile hospital is reaching the doorstep of the people for providing the much needed healthcare services” He thanked Smile Foundation for choosing to serving the people of Faridabad. He also showed his interest to support the initiative in future. \nWith the addition of this new project\, Smile on Wheels\, a national level initiative of Smile Foundation\, will be covering a population of 10.67 lakh in 172 slums and villages in 9 states of India
