SUMMARY:Smile Foundation rocks with Underground Authority
DESCRIPTION:Underground Authority\, the band that shot to fame with the reality show India’s Got Talent-Season 2\, visited a Smile Twin e-Learning Programme (STeP) centre to motivate the students there about building big aspirations and bringing them true. \nThe band has become famous and very popular for its Protest Poetry – original compositions that carry relevant messages about the important issues going on in the country and the world. They have also become famous in redoing and remixing famous Bollywood numbers into their own genre and style of music. Underground Authority has not only received an overwhelming response from the audiences\, but they’ve also won hearts of celebrities such as Salman Khan\, Sonali Bendre\, Nikhil Chinapa and Kirron Kher. \nAfter performing a couple of their own songs clubbed with Bollywood music\, the band interacted with the children and spoke at length about the vast career opportunities present in the field of music today. They also shared with the students their own journey and how they came to be where they are today. They also encouraged the students to take up their passion seriously to achieve unparalleled success in their lives and discussed with them about their ambitions\, their hopes and counseled them towards a constructive direction. \nSpeaking on the occasion\, Santhanam Srinivasan Iyer \, the composer and poet \,Underground Authority said \, “ This is a great experience for all of us to be amongst these kids . We are the privileged ones. This hits us hard on the face\, the moment we look around. Yet very rarely do we get an opportunity to do anything for them. Meeting these guys was an opportunity for us to get a glimpse of how they are striving to fight life’s crisis. Performing for them\, is certainly nothing much done\, but has given us a feeling of immense joy and pride. We would love to do more.”
