SUMMARY:Qigong Therapy Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Autism is a crippling disorder that incapacitates humans from leading a life of order and dignity alienating them from the mainstream. Individuals\, institutions working to bring semblance of order in lives of victims of Autism deserve a special praise. \nAction for Autism (AFA)thus is a very special non-profit that aims to bring order in the lives of underprivileged children enabling them to enhance their acceptance in the society. \nAFA organized a ‘Qigong therapy’ workshop on 17th March’09 in its premises at Jasola Vihar\, New Delhi for the benefit of Autistic children and their parents. Dr Silva\, an eminent therapist from US doing research on application of Qigong Therapy on Autism conducted the workshop which benefited 40 parents and their children. Participating parents donated a pre-decided amount as the participation fees to strengthen ‘Action for Autism’. Smile Foundation provided the required impetus by matching up the total funds mobilized.
