DESCRIPTION:Indian Youth Congress (IYC) invited Smile Foundation to address their District Youth Congress Presidents’ meet in New Delhi. Smile Foundation had been invited to conduct the session on Disaster Management for the three day training camps\, endorsing its commitment and response to disaster management in the country. \nIndian Youth Congress\, with a membership of over four million\, is one of the largest organizations for the youth in the world. \nThe camp was organized at Gandhi Smriti Darshan Samiti\, New Delhi between 24th and 26th of July\, 2006. \nSh. Arjun Singh\, Union Minister of HRD; Sh. Oscar Fernandes\, Union Minister; Sh. Shivraj Patil\, Union Minister for Home Affairs; Sh. Ashok Tanwar\, President\, IYC; were among those who conducted sessions on different subjects.

DESCRIPTION:National Students Union of India [NSUI] and Swabhiman – Women’s Awareness Initiative of Smile Foundation\, join hands to set off a series of workshops with various colleges of the University of Delhi. \nThe workshops are targeting mixed groups of boys and girls. The modules cover safety issues\, creating awareness on drug de-addiction among youth\, social consequences of drugs\, how drug abuse leads to molestation\, harassment etc. It also includes career conflicts\, problem in relationships\, examination and academic stress forces a youth to take drugs etc. \nWorkshop -1\, Date: July 26\, 2006\, Place: Deshbandhu College\, Kalkaji\, New Delhi-19 \nResource Persons: Dr. Bharat Bhushan and Dr. Vipin Chauhan from Navjyoti Delhi Police Foundation. \nParticipants: 70 boys and girls Workshop -2\, Place: College of Vocational Studies\, Sheikh Sarai\, New Delhi-17 \nResource Persons: Ms. Sapna Kulshrestha and Ms. Kiran Arora from Smile Foundation \nParticipants: 50 boys and girls. \nSmile Foundation and NSUI have planned cover more college in Delhi through this series of workshops.
