DESCRIPTION:SMILE Foundation is committed to the welfare of deprived children born to less- fortunate parents. It is concerned with their upbringing – with at least basic minimum education\, health status and inculcating in them importance of good character; a sense of pride; and desire and aspirations for “doing something in life “. The Foundation therefore looks forward to and remains willing to extend its hand of support to and form partnership with initiatives made towards these goals – whether by an individual or group of individuals or by more organised institutions (NGOs). \nTo know more about few of SMILE’s advocacy campaigns in recent past kindly > > click the links below: \n\nEvery Child Has the Right to Smile – Kids Wish Team India for Cricket World Cup\nIMI Students celebrate Children’s Day Smiling together with Smile Kids\nSmile’s Children Celebrates Children’s Day with Enthusiasm\nBrining Light to Deprived Children on Diwali Eve\nInternational Women’s Day\nKite Festival with these Children Who Can Make Difference\nTCS family and SMILE for Independence Day do with Poor Children\, Smile Foundation India\nSmile and NSUI joint series of Workshops\nSuper SummerCamp\nWorld Disability Day\n\nWith such mission and goals\, the Foundation has been assisting a number of development initiatives undertaken by (a group of) individuals and non – governmental organisations and formed partnership. As SMILE Foundation believes ALL of us working together can definitely bring cheers and hopes in lives of our less-privileged children who are going to be our country’s future. \nSMILE Foundation therefore in order to create awareness among potential and willing individuals / community and as a motivational campaign proposes to start various activities which include the following: \nPublic interface\nPutting up stalls and distributing fliers at prominent happening places.\nFlier dispensers at prominent places\nMailers to corporate houses\nCreating awareness of genuine Initiatives in neighborhood /people’s backyards Through local area magazines/newspaper supplements and urging people participation\nThrough volunteerism\nMotivating people to register as volunteers\nTaking children out on excursions\, educational tours\, sight seeing\, visit to public services institutions (police stations\, post offices\, factories\, newspaper offices\, hospitals etc.\nArranging for motivational talks by well- known personalities / achievers \nYes\, You Can Make a Difference! You can bring cheers and happiness in lives of poor children. You can enlighten their lives. You can make them become a responsible adult. All that is required is to choose/decide the ways/ manner through which you desire to make such difference. \nYou may like to do so – by associating yourself meaningfully with such Initiatives / Voluntary Organisations supported by SMILE Foundation. \nFor the purpose YOU can contribute \nYour time helping the Initiatives / Voluntary organisations in their day-to-day activities. Professional expertise towards teaching / health care services. Arranging / making available materials (teaching\, sports\, health care services\, nutritional feeding etc) required for different facilities / services) provided (proposed) to the children. Taking financial responsibility of a child’s / children’s education\, health care facilities. Providing for a child’s / children’s mid-day meal. Contributing financially and materially towards infrastructure (building\, library\, books\, equipments etc.) development of schools being run for such children. Helping in child’s / children’s admission into a formal school and / or sponsoring cost of formal schooling of a child / children. Helping such Initiatives / Voluntary organisations in fund raising / resource mobilization. \nNo matter how you do it – BUT YES YOU CAN MAKE THE DIFFERENCE!
