Thyssenkrupp Elevator India Private Limited joins hands with Smile Foundation for women empowerment


Thyssenkrupp has joined hands with Smile Foundation to support the Swabhiman programme for women’s empowerment. The project will ensure the empowerment by improving the health, hygiene, employability, negotiation and decision making skills of underprivileged women and adolescent girls of the identified community of Delhi NCR. Approximately, 15000 people will be reached through extensive approach of this programme and approximately, 2500 people will be benefitted through intensive approach which includes group meetings, IEC/BCC activities, celebration of important days, workshop by health experts, distribution of sanitary napkins or contraceptive and health check up camps.

In year 2017, Thyssenkruppalso supported Smile Foundation’s STeP project to provide skill based training to 100 youth in Bengaluru. The goal was to empower underprivileged urban youth at STeP centre through market oriented skill development and centralized placement assistance.
