Marie Claire, a leading monthly women’s magazine, has partnered
with Smile Foundation to launch a year-long campaign ‘Right
to Respect’ wherein it will address various issues that women
in India deal with on a daily basis, ranging from cultural stereotypes
to physical violence.
Under this initiative, which commenced on International Women’s
Day, Marie Claire will provide those women, whose voices have been
suppressed for long, with a platform to make their voices heard.
It will further contribute 5% of its total advertisement revenues
to Smile Foundation to support the Swabhiman programme for the empowerment
of women and girl children for a year.
