Hindustan Unilever Limited, India’s largest FMCG company, has joined hands with Smile Foundation. The FMCG giant in association with Tata Star Bazaar stores, have started a unique consumer promotion campaign – India’s Favorites – to promote the cause of education of underprivileged children. And Smile Foundation became the associate development organization for the India’s Favorites campaign. This campaign spread across seven cities in India offered attractive discounts on specific units of leading brands of HUL namely, Brooke Bond Red Label, Kissan, Knorr, Kwality Walls, Clear, Dove, Vaseline, Axe, Surf and Vim. HUL committed to donate five percent of the sales proceeds from all these brands to support the education of underprivileged children. The campaign was launched by HUL CEO & MD – Mr. Nitin Paranjpe, Trent CEO – Mr. Jamshed Daboo and Director Operations of Smile Foundation – Mr. Harish Nandan Sahay, in Mumbai. HUL with a heritage of over 75 years in
India touches the lives of two out of three Indians. HUL works to
create a better future every day. While they believe in the power
of their brands in
Target has joined hands with Smile Foundation to support girl child education in 3 states of India namely, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan. The project ‘Girl Child Specific Intervention’ aims at providing quality education and holistic development of the children. The project will benefit 620 impoverished girls in the age of the group of 5-14 years directly by supporting their education and then mainstreaming them. Target is a leading retailer in the United
States and has a legacy of giving back to the community. Since 1946,
Target has given 5 per cent of their income to the communities they
serve. Today, that equals more than $3 million every week.
HPCL is a Government of India enterprise with a Navratan status. HPCL has tried to follow Corporate Social Responsibility in true sense. HPCL has been taking up many CSR activities to reach out to the underprivileged section of the society. HPCL’s CSR model has been based on”Creating Shared Value”. The shared value model is based on the concept that corporate success and social welfare are interdependent. Being associated with Smile Foundation
through CSR initiative Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL)
is dedicated to impart employability skills to the under privileged
youth. And to be able to help finding suitable jobs based on their
career interests.
RPG Life Sciences associated with Smile Foundation
by supporting 100 students under its Mission Education programme.
The event was organised in RPG House, Mumbai, where RPG has invited
children of Mumbai Mission Education project. It marked beginning
of a partnership between Smile and RPG Life Sciences Ltd. This association
started with an aim to support underpriviledged children and mainstreaming
them into formal education system. RPG Life Sciences is a forward
looking pharmaceutical organization poised for high trajectory growth.
International Finance Corporation a World Bank collaborated with Smile Foundation for supporting the Mission Education programme of Smile Foundation. The group had an employee engagement activity with Smile Foundation’s children beneficiaries. Through this event they supported 30 kids under Smile’s Mission Education programme. IFC is the largest global development institution focused on the private sector in developing countries. IFC creates opportunities for people to escape poverty and improve their lives by providing financial help and by delivering advisory services to ensure sustainable development. |
Nutrition is a vital component for the development of the nation and to set that foundation, the Herbalife Family Foundation, the non-profit and developmental organization supported by Herbalife Ltd. and Smile Foundation partnered in order to provide nutrition to underprivileged children. Herbalife Family Foundation in association with Smile Foundation has established a Casa Herbalife programme to provide nutritional support to 3000 children of Smile Foundation’s Mission Education programme. This programme will be implemented in Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai and Hyderabad. Herbalife Ltd. (NYSE: HLF) is a global network marketing company
that sells weight-management, nutrition, and personal care products
intended to support a healthy lifestyle. The company supports the
Herbalife Family Foundation and its Casa Herbalife programme to help
bring good nutrition to children. Created in 1994 by Herbalife Founder
Mark Hughes, Herbalife Family Foundation (HFF) creates partnerships
with charities to help meet the nutritional needs of children at risk.

(HFF) flagship Casa Herbalife programme was introduced in 2005 to
support existing charitable organizations that are changing children’s
lives.
Continuing with the tradition of working for social causes Barclays joined hands with Smile Foundation to support the education of underprivileged children. Barclays has supported the initiation of a computer education centre at the NOIDA centre of Smile’s Mission Education programme. Both Smile Foundation and Barclays believe computer technology has a deep impact on education and it plays a vital role in the all round development of a child. It is an effort towards making the underprivileged children skilled to face the world confidently. Barclays has been a continuous supporter of Smile Foundation and has been regularly supporting various initiatives of Smile from time to time. "Be the change

HDFC is one of the exemplary partners of Smile Foundation. HDFC had associated with Smile Foundation earlier to work for the welfare of orphans through education, health care and holistic development approach in remote western part of Orissa. It has extended support for Smile Foundation’s livelihood programme -Smile Twin e-Learning Programme for marginalized adolescent youth in three locations – Pune, Indore and Raipur. The Housing Development Finance Corporation Limited (HDFC) was amongst the first to receive an 'in principle' approval from the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) to set up a bank in the private sector, as part of the RBI's liberalisation of the Indian Banking Industry in 1994. With the support received from HDFC Smile Foundation has tried to
fill the gap in basic amenities for improving the lives of the children
and youth regularly.
Cairn Energy India has entered in partnership with Smile Foundation.
Through this partnership Cairn Energy will support Smile Foundation’s
Smile on Wheels Programme in two cities namely Jamnagar and Barmer.
Cairn India is a leading player in the Indian oil and gas industry.
It is one of the biggest private exploration and production companies
currently operating in India. This collaboration has made to work
for welfare of underprivileged, by developing health seeking behavior
among them. This association led to a healthy relation between Smile
Foundation and Cairn Energy.
Avery Dennison has partnered with Smile Foundation to support the
Mission Education programme of Smile Foundation. This association
will ensure quality education for the underprivileged children of
Mission Education center in Pune. Avery Dennison is a recognized industry
leader that develops innovative identification and decorative solutions
for businesses and consumers worldwide. Avery Dennison is touching
many lives across the globe. This collaboration is an initiative by
Avery Dennison along with Smile Foundation to impart education to
the underprivileged children.
Jockey has collaborated with Smile Foundation under Direct Child support to support the Smile Foundation’s Mission Education programme. Through this association the company will support education for children for one year. Jokey is a leading International brand in garment sector and is always been working for social causes. Under their CSR initiative Jockey has identified different parameters to be in touch with the deprived section and to work for them. Jockey believes education is the only medium to construct good future for children and to sustain it for them. |
Essar Foundation joined
hands with Smile Foundation as ‘Corporate Cause Promoter’
for the film ‘I am Kalam’. With this association Essar is
supporting the cause of “Sending Every Child To School”.
Essar Foundation spearheads all
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) related activities of the Essar
Group. Its initiatives focus on 3 Es, namely Education, Entrepreneurship
and Environment. Being associated with Smile Foundation for ‘I
am Kalam’ is one such effort through which Essar emphasizes the
‘Right to Education’ for every child.
Samsung, already one of
the Smile Foundation’s supporters has extended support for Smile
Twin e- Learning Programme. This association has been set-up under Samsung’s
CSR initiative “Hope Project“. This collaboration has helped
training hundreds of students so far. Samsung strives to promote sustainability,
under the business philosophy of devoting human recourses and technology
to creating superior products and services. Samsung believes that a
company’s success is not only measured by its business achievements,
but by also how well it serves its community. Samsung
embraces its responsibility to contribute as a good citizen, taking
action around the world to foster a better society, protect and improve

Indian Oil Corporation Ltd. has partnered with Smile Foundation to extend their support for Smile Twin e- Learning Programme. This association will mainly help to strengthen the soft skill development module in five of the Smile Twin e-Learning Programme centres of Delhi & NCR. With Indian Oil’s support soft skill trainers of the respective centres will be trained further in orientation training, fresher training, monitoring assessment, evaluation of the programme, etc. IndianOil has been working constructively
for social causes. For the past decade Indianoil has supported innumerable
social and community initiatives in India.
Crisil has extended further support to Smile Foundation to spread many a smiles. They partnered for an employee engagement programme through Mission Education programmes across India and lend support for education of children beneficiaries of Smile. Many volunteers from Crisil at various locations participated in the programme. All the employees interacted with kids and conducted various fun-filled activities. Crisil are India’s leading rating

CapitaLand one of the Asia’s renowned real estate companies partnered with Smile Foundation to support education for the underprivileged children. This partnership will support and Education programme of Smile Foundation in Udaipur and Rajasthan. The support would gradually be spread over to other centers of the Mission Education programme across the country. CapitaLand is committed to be a good corporate
citizen, not only in Singapore, but also in the overseas communities.
CapitaLand has established a foundation named CapitaLand Hope Foundation.
This foundation focuses to support, programmes for the shelter, education
and healthcare needs of underprivileged children in Singapore and
overseas. CapitaLand allocates up to 0.5% of the Group's net profit
to the Foundation which aims to create a better future for underprivileged.
Smile Foundation and National Olympiad Foundation have joined hands in a Cause Related Marketing partnership to further strengthen Smile Foundation’s Mission Education programme. In this partnership between NOF and Smile Foundation, National Olympiad Foundation is contributing a portion of its income in supporting the Mission Education programme of Smile Foundation. National Olympiad Foundation (NOF) is a national level talent search organization that works in the arena of academic talent search and awards through Olympiads. The aim of NOF is to make the process of learning more interesting and also to assess the efficiency of learning and depth of knowledge in a competitive environment. |

Smile Foundation with Prestige Group organised a fashion show “Ramp for Champs” to raise financial support for the children beneficiaries of Mission Education programme. India’s leading entertainment channel Zee TV associated with Smile Foundation for the cause of children. Zee TV supported the education of 100 children for a year. With this association the channel launched their new show “Choti si Zindgai”. Zee is of the school of thought that 'you aren't successful if you haven't given back to what you have got from'. The Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) policy at Zee Entertainment Enterprises Limited propounds the belief that 'a business cannot succeed in a society that fails'.
