The second series of short stories depicting the dreams of the underprivileged children is being produced in association with NDTV. The first series of the sensitisation campaign has shown effective results and many videos are available on the internet.

Lafarge & Fullerton think health

Health camp in association with Lafarge India was organised for labourers of the Kalighat Railway Siding, Kolkata. The objective of the camp was to generate awareness about the need of regular health checkups in the target communities. Fullerton India came forward to be a part of another health camp organised for cholera prevention and cure at Solapur in Maharashtra.

‘I am Kalam’ at 63rd Cannes Film Fetival

‘I am Kalam,’ a film inspired by former President Dr. Kalam, was showcased at the Cannes Film Festival in May 2010. After being selected for the Vienna Fest and Cinekid, it is eyeing for other international festivals like Venice, Lucas, Germany international Film Festival,Giffoni Film Festival and Mostra Internazionale d’Arte Cinematografica among others.

‘I am Kalam’ is produced by Smile Foundation and directed by debutant director Nila Madhab Panda. The film is about a nine year old boy who aspires to overcome all hurdles to chase his dream of studying.

‘Beti bhi apni hai’

The Swabhiman team organised a mime show on ‘safety of girls’ to celebrate International Women's Day. This celebration was part of an advocacy effort to make the world realise ‘Beti bhi apni hai’ (the daughter is also ours).
