STeP Alumni Meet

Smile Foundation organised an Alumni Meet at
Mumbai to celebrate the success of the students of Smile Twin
e-Learning Programme (STeP) from the centres in western India.
Country’s well known organisations and brands like Tata-Trent,
Aditya Birla, Tech Mahindra Foundation and Apollo Paharmacy, etc.
gave away trophies to STeP students who have been employed with
them in recognition of their diligent efforts. A ‘STeP alumni
group’ has been formed on Gmail to track the alumni of the
livelihood programme. The students regularly interact with each
other and keep themselves updated on new happenings in the STeP
programme.
'Aashayein' with KK

Smile Foundation organized a charity event 'Aashayein',
a musical Journey with KK, the famous playback singer. The event
was organized at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi to support the cause
of Children's education. Attended by a large audience, ' Aashayien'
was a huge success and was supported by Rage Mobiles, J K Tyres,
Sandwood Infratech, Niho Construction Ltd ,Oriental Insurance
Company Ltd, Big 92.7 Fm, Big Street, International Techno Media
Pvt. Ltd, Wortal Technologies Pvt. Ltd(BuzzinTown), Hilton Hotel,
Planet M Retail Ltd and Asian Academy of Film & Television
and was managed by Flair Communications.
Smile Foundation plans to organize more such events in the future
with an aim to involve the mainstream for the cause of the underprivileged
and work towards a civic driven change in the society.
