Health camp for migrant community in Rajiv Nagar
The Smile Health Camp organised in Rajiv Nagar, Gurgaon district of Haryana, benefitted 81 young children, 105 mothers and 85 men. General physician Dr. Anand Lodhi, Paediatrician Dr. Visjal Deep, and Gynaecologist Dr. Blessing Jha were assisted by a team of lab. technician, pharmacist, Smile Foundation’s community mobilisers, project team and volunteers from BlackRock, which also supported the camp.
Migrant labourers, daily wage earners and their families were the main focus of the health camp. Smile on Wheels mobile hospital was also pressed into service and facilitate specialised medical and diagnostic facilities during the camp.
Smile Health Camps is a special initiative of Smile Foundation to provide healthcare services to meet the immediate needs of the marginalized community in remote rural areas and urban slums through standalone camps. Customized health camps are organized extensively across the country offering comprehensive health services – curative, preventive, promotive and referral.
