Summary of Role

The Manager Programs (Livelihood) is responsible for overseeing and implementing programs designed to support and enhance the livelihoods of individuals and communities at national level. This role is focuses on initiatives aimed at promoting economic sustainability, trainings, job creation, placements and community development. This position will be involved in technical and managerial leadership to project on and is accountable for all programmatic, management and coordination aspects of livelihood and economic recovery. This role required effective management and relationships with relevant internal and external stakeholders throughout the project cycle including support to team in budgetary planning & financial management, developing high quality program plans and donor management etc.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Design, develop and implement the livelihood program at national level that align with organization’s mission and objectives.
  2. Conduct needs assessments and market analysis to identify opportunities and challenges in the target communities.
  3. Capacity building in terms of donor management, achieving placements, quality delivery and trainings.
  4. Collobaration with various stakeholders including external agencies, donors, government bodies, communities etc.
  5. Manage program budgets and financial resources effectively.
  6. Collect and analyze data to track the progress and make data driven decisions.
  7. Establishment of industrial collaboration to understand their human resource/manpower needs.
  8. Collobration with various corporates/employers to place the program beneficiaries to achieve the target as per donor deliverables.
  9. Sharing of regular reports to concerned stakeholders (Donor and Senior Management) to communicate program achievements, challenges and financial status.
  10. Engage with program beneficiaries and local communities to ensure their active participation and ownership of livelihood activities.
  11. Identify potential risks and challenges to program implementation and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  12. Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  13.  Advocate for policies and initiatives that support livelihood development in the target communities.
  14. Network with other organizations and professional in the field to stay informed about best practices and opportunity for collaboration.
  15. Ensure that all program activities are conducted in an ethical and transparent manner, respecting the rights and dignity of beneficiaries.

Qualification and Experience

  1. Should have a Master’s Degree in Social work or Sociology.
  2. 5 to 8 years of experience in Urban livelihood sector and programs especially on employability, entrepreneurship programs and market-based solutions.
  3. Solid understanding and experience in terms of delivery through digital platforms as well as technology based monitoring.
  4. Experience on identification of skilling needs for youth of unorganized communities with various methodologies for livelihood programs.

Information Gathering

1. Smile Foundation collects information from the users in a number of ways, for example when the user:

  • Signs up for a campaign

2. While forwarding a donation for Smile Foundation the well-wishers have to submit some personal information as it would help us ensuring genuine contributions:

  • Your email and mailing address
  • Your telephone number
  • Your payment processing details
  • Any other data as required

3. Smile Foundation does not collect or record the user’s personal information unless he/she chooses to provide it.

Use of Personal Information

1. General browsing of Smile Foundation website is anonymous and it does not register the user’spersonal information except the time, date and place of visits and the name of internet service provider. This data is used only for statistics and diagnosis.

5. Usually, Smile Foundation does not store user data. In case of specific sign-ups, the data is stored as per user request. The user can opt to delete all the information he/she has provided by simply requesting such by mail. All information, without exception, will be deleted in two working days.

Privacy of e-mail lists

Individuals who join Smile Foundation’s mailing lists via its website or through its campaigning engagements are added to its email database. Smile Foundation does not sell, rent, loan, trade, or lease the addresses on our lists to anyone.

1. Smile Foundation uses a number of external web services on its site to display content within its web pages. For example, to display video it uses YouTube. As with the social media buttons, Smile Foundation cannot prevent these sites, or external domains, from collecting information on the user’s consumption of the content embedded on its site.

Refund and Cancellation Policy

  • No refund/cancellation for the donated amount by any donor will not be entertained, the online donations through the online payment gateway.
  • No cash or refund of money will be allowed.
  • If any in-kind support received by the donor from any where the material will be reached to the poorest of the poorer communities.
  • Once received the donation for a cause will not be refunded to the donor. No cancellation to be made. The donation will be used for the community development, children education or women’s empowerment.
